Telit announced on Wednesday that it is launching commercial operations of its new mobile core network, Telit NExT. This will allow new and enhanced turnkey services.
The company aims to provide access to over 600 2G, 3G and 4G networks in over 190 countries to its users.
Key Features of Telit NeXT
The new mobile core brings a lot of key features bundled in for its users. First, it provides coverage by a fabric of over 600 2G, 3G and 4G networks — including LPWA — in 190 countries. This will allow fast IoT services rollout.
Telit NeXT also provides high-availability service from a fully geo-redundant, global IP network. The system makes use of an on-premise sites with AWS cloud hybrid backup. This also ensures an “always-on” network for businesses. The new core also brings network-based, independent elements for controlling IoT devices. This works to simplify device connectivity management by enabling control across any network type.
The product packs enterprise-grade security features. These features include secured network elements, VPN, private APN support, access control for designated IPs, network-based security rules, near-real-time malicious traffic monitoring and IMEI-LOCK to restrict SIM card fraud usage. Furthermore, it brings a range of traditional SIMs in all form factors such as eSIM/eUICC, iSIM and Telit simWISE. Telit NeXT also brings Multi-IMSI support. Combined with Telit's IoT connectivity management platform, it allows optimization by QoS, coverage and other requirements.
Furthermore, the core brings real-time management of each device’s status and other key attributes. This allows companies to resolve any issues fast and without third parties.
Lastly, its OPTIMUS AI engine analyzes data usage and automatically assigns each SIM to the most cost-effective data plan.
Tomer Lavie, Head, Connectivity Business, said, “the architecture of the NExT network enables new business models for packaging and pricing services for enterprises, IoT service providers and others for quickly rolling out IoT deployments from a few to millions of devices".
He added. "we provide tools to manage and secure devices, so that our network delivers the business and operating results that meet customers’ parameters including speed, QoS, support and others.”
