The introduction of Truecaller Assistant, a new feature, in India has been announced by Truecaller. According to the company, the Assistant will revolutionize call screening by combining the power of machine learning (ML) and cloud telephony to give consumers a powerful tool to block spam and fraudulent calls.
The Truecaller Assistant serves as a customised and interactive virtual receptionist and is now accessible within the Truecaller app on Android devices. Its main purpose is to answer calls on the user's behalf so they can avoid obnoxious callers.
Managing Director of Truecaller India, Rishit Jhunjhunwala, expressed enthusiasm for the new function: "Up until now, Truecaller would display you who's calling, but now you can let Truecaller Assistant have a conversation with the caller on your behalf. This is a very exciting next step for us in our mission to fully assist customers in avoiding spam and fraudulent callers. We are thrilled to offer this to Truecaller fans in India after previously launching it in a select locations."
According to Truecaller, the Assistant accurately answers swiftly to incoming calls and gives live transcriptions of the caller's speech, enabling users to recognise the caller and comprehend the call's purpose. Users can choose to pick up the call, ask for more details, or just designate it as spam based on this information.
