The new features, as well as the ability to rename accounts and mailboxes, are available now in the Yahoo Mail app for iOS (4.4) around the world.

For Android users Yahoo will enable one place to find all of the people they interact with. Choosing ‘People’ Smart View (in the sidebar) and clicking ‘see all contacts’ will aid this feature. This will take to a list of all of the people the user has communicated with, which one can browse and edit. Yahoo will also sync the user’s Address Book contacts and the Android device’s contacts. This will be off by default, but one can turn it on in their Android device’s sync settings.

More interesting is the Yahoo Beta. Interested users can try out new and experimental features before other Yahoo Mail users by opting in here. Users may notice some other small changes in this update, including new animations (try deleting or starring a message!) and a congratulatory message when one hits inbox zero. These features are available on Yahoo Mail app’s latest version Android (5.5).
